Juan has been practicing exclusively in the area of Immigration Law since his admission. Juan is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to Colorado during his youth due to his father’s enlistment in the military. Residing in Colorado afforded Juan the opportunity to attend Colorado State University as a first generation college student where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology emphasizing in Criminal Justice. After his undergraduate studies, Juan went on to graduate from the University of Denver College of Law in May 2007, where Juan was an active member of the Latino Law Student Association.

Juan has been qualified as an expert on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions in multiple County Court cases. Furthermore, Juan makes it a point to volunteer his time in the community, which began with legal aid work in New Orleans, Louisiana, after Hurricane Katrina; Juan continues to give back to the community by volunteering at events such as local citizenship drives. Throughout his career Juan has successfully navigated cases ranging from athletic visas and family based applications before U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services, to removal defense cases before the Immigration Court.

De Castroverde Law Group is a criminal defensepersonal injury and immigration law firm located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Growing up in Reno, founding partners Alex and Orlando saw their father, Waldo De Castroverde (1941-2014), work his way through law school. After Waldo started his practice, the brothers helped out in his office, answering phones, filing documents, and doing anything else they could to assist their father. The experience inspired both brothers to become lawyers and eventually start a practice together.

Born and raised in Cuba, where he fought the Castro regime as a young man, Waldo was one of Nevada’s first Spanish-speaking lawyers. Today, his legacy continues as most of De Castroverde Law Group’s attorneys are fluent in Spanish and represent both English and Spanish-speaking clients.

The attorneys at De Castroverde Law Group pride themselves on providing aggressive, dependable legal representation. They believe in going out of their way to deliver the individual, one-on-one attention each client deserves. They take every case seriously, and are committed to securing the best possible outcome for each of their clients. They meet with clients face-to-face.
