The law firm’s founding attorney, Laura Edgerton, established Edgerton Immigration Law to provide a different type of immigration service to our clients. You do not believe your case or your business is a commodity and neither do we. We believe that every client and situation is unique. Our law firm prides itself on providing expertise, individual attention, and exceptional client service to each matter. We stand out because we combine the large firm experience and sophistication that many businesses want from their immigration lawyers with the friendliness, flexibility, personal attention and reasonable fees of a small firm.

We look forward to working with you to ensure that your immigration legal needs are met. Our Raleigh immigration law firm provides legal services for individuals and businesses throughout North Carolina (including Raleigh, Research Triangle Park, Chapel Hill, Durham, Morrisville, Cary, Fayetteville, New Bern, Wilmington, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Asheville, and Greenville). Because U.S. immigration law is federal, we can assist clients throughout the United States and around the world. We are committed to using advanced research, communication and case management systems to stay current on the rapidly changing immigration laws and to keep our clients informed of changes in the law that affect them.

We understand that there is a lot of information out there. We also know that much of the information is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or fails to discuss important exceptions to rules – all of which may directly impact your case. Our experience has taught us that the volume of available information frequently leaves people more confused than ever about how the laws affect them. Our goal is to provide real answers, rather than leaving you with more questions.

We are also extremely pleased that our firm received a Raleigh Metropolitan First Tier Ranking for Immigration Law in the inaugural 2010 “Best Law Firms” rankings by the U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers®, which is an honor that was repeated in the 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and 2019 rankings.
