Kripa Upadhyay is an immigration attorney and founder of Orbit Law, PLLC, a nationality and immigration law firm based in Seattle. As a principal attorney, her work focuses mainly on U.S. immigration and nationality law.

Ms. Upadhyay has several years of experience handling both U.S. immigration and nationality law cases. Named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine for every year from 2014-2018, her practice is devoted to family as well as employment and investment based immigration to the US.

As a first generation immigrant herself, she understands exactly how difficult it is for immigrants to adjust to a new country. Her knowledge and understanding of cultural sensitivity and her personal experience, in addition to her high success rate, have made her one of the most reliable and trusted immigration attorneys in her area of expertise. She has successfully helped reunite families through the firm’s family-based immigration services. Attorney Upadhyay has also provided immigration services to US businesses that hire skilled foreign workers and high net-worth individual investors who wish to operate their businesses and invest in the country.

In addition to handling and providing legal services to clients, Ms. Upadhyay frequently gives lectures at the Seattle University School of Law, Immigration Law class and clinic. She is active in the community and is involved in local immigrant communities, where she gives free seminars on immigration.

Ms. Upadhyay obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2007. She is admitted and licensed to practice before the Board of Immigration Appeals, Washington State Supreme Court, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Ms. Upadhyay is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) local chapter where she leads several committees; Washington State Bar Association (WSBA); WSBA Committee for Diversity; and a board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington.

Kripa was born in Nepal. She can converse in English, Hindi, Nepali, Urdu and Spanish.
